The Langham, London opened in 1865 as London's first purpose built Grand Hotel. Member of The Leading Hotels of the World, The Langham, London has a fine range of rooms and suites, a listed ballroom, a new stylish restaurant and a chic cocktail bar, as well as and a superb health and fitness club featuring a 16metre swimming pool.
Langham Club rooms at The Langham Hotel Club are complemented by more personal service and access to The Langham Club lounges. These rooms come with extra amenities such as complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, drinks and canapes throughout the day, extended 3pm check-out time, superior bathroom amenities, complimentary pressing on arrival and a CD library.
Star designers have recently converted bar and restaurant to an oasis of style. The new main restaurant, The Landau, serves modern European cuisine with traditional English signature dishes. The chic and glamorous bar Artesian is specialized in rum and offers an extensive menu of cocktails and all day dining.
Located on the first floor, the fully-equipped gym at the health and fitness club offers state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment, free weights as well as three plasma television screens. Less energetic options include a solarium, separate female and male sauna and steam rooms and spa pool. The indoor swimming pool always comes as a pleasant surprise to guests, its location being in a previous bank vault, and what is now the perfect setting for lap swimming in a delightful 16 m long, heated swimming pool.
The Langham, London will have very limited facilities for meetings and private events in 2008, as these facilities will be undergoing a full refurbishment, these will re-open after a transformation in early 2009.
In the interim, Postillion, the private dining room at The Landau, the new David Collins designed restaurant, will be available for small receptions, lunches and dinners for up to 16 persons.
